Projects

Projects we are currently working on are listed below.

My Favourite Place : New Zealand

We are interested in finding out people’s favourite places in New Zealand, and their reasons why. People’s preference for place is often associated with place values such as its spiritual, genealogical, attractive, safety, wildlife values. We would like to know what those specific place values are. Favourite places have restorative benefits and help people mentally, physically, and emotionally.

This research initially began between 2019 to 2021 in preparation for a Master’s Degree thesis. The results from this first study proved to be successful, the research resumed between October and November 2021, and is currently a live project.

For more information about this study, please email us for more details.

My Favourite Place : Wales

Finding favourite places in Wales is also exciting. In this study, we find people’s reasons for preferring places more than others. For more information about this study, please email us for more details.

Place And Me

Welcome to Place And Me! The purpose of the Place And Me project is to find out places people find special, favourite, scary, spiritual, cultural, or places people are genealogically linked to.

Our project includes a series of six surveys. In this first part of Survey One, we want to find out places people are genealogically linked to in New Zealand. We want to know how people feel about the place and their reasons why. For more information about this survey, please email us your interest in participating in the study. (This project has been deferred until further notice.)

Books for Caterpillars

This project is aimed at assessing the user interface design, user experience features, and web design of the ecommerce store, Books for Caterpillars. In this project, we focus on web design elements of colour, buttons, accessibility, and navigation. Participants are asked to test the website using three different scenarios, questions on user experience, web design and are given a SUS evaluation to assess the website’s usability goals.
